On March 13, 2023, STACKFORCE GmbH and Diehl Metering, global provider of smart metering solutions, entered into a strategic partnership. STACKFORCE founder Prof. Dr.-Ing. Axel Sikora and Managing Director David Rahusen were guests at Diehl Metering to finalize the merger.
Diehl Metering and STACKFORCE have been working together for many years in the field of embedded software for water and heat meter communication. Thanks to STACKFORCE's in-depth know-how of new IoT and low-power wide-area radio technologies and Diehl Metering's expertise in the field of smart meters, smart utilities and smart cities, a number of joint connectivity projects have already been successfully implemented in the past.
The strategic partnership is a win-win situation for both companies: Diehl Metering can further expand its already leading position in the areas of smart meters, smart utilities and smart city, and STACKFORCE has a strong partner in Diehl to further expand its business model for standard protocol stacks. As both Diehl Metering and STACKFORCE are co-founders of the mioty alliance, the partnership also includes the establishment of the global LPWAN standard mioty®.
